Every one’s talking about it, there’s a buzz about it. Now, is time that you should join it and explore the world inside it. ” - I told my tech junkie buddy.
Politely he asked, “But man, we guys don’t get the time to do all these things, and after all it is just one of those many things available, I mean there is already so much of fuss about social networking. So why should I join? Just for the heck of it? Or is there something else which might ultimately provide value to me per se or more organization or my environment for that matter.
“Most certainly, Yes”, I told him. Essentially that’s why the blogosphere (the users) are going crazy over it as they realize the potential, the power of Facebook. It is your face after all, your face to the rest of the world.
Let us just discover and understand the 2 W’s of facebook. The what and why attached to it.
What? ” Facebook is a “social portal or more so a utility” connecting people with friends, business guys, people with similar interests and everyone else who has a similar line of thought.
Why? People are using facebook to stay in touch buddies, see what they’re doing, learning more stuff about them, see they’re networking with whom, discover facts which they never knew, find long lost school pals, share photographs of themselves in a network, join user-groups and communities, share their expressions and feelings all under on roof.
Facebook, is a terrific mix of social and professional life in the world wide web. It is the fun way of interacting with people.
